Things that scream to an oddly specific synchronicity related to the task at hand. They no longer appear random.įirst, you've got the seeming bastardizations of words that suggest common sayings. You start to notice a greater meaning in the words. Yet I, like many others, spent hours and hours solving these things.

Like 'Mike Tyson's Punch Out' final-fight hard. With the Josh Wise voting, the more you voted, the harder the captchas got. So I have some anecdotal experience that may be fun to hear and a perhaps insight into a more interesting phenomenon. I know enough, to head off criticism at the path, enough about doge, but I just spent the last two weeks filling out captchas. Would there be an interest for such a thing? I'm a developer and would take the time to work on that if there is a real interest for it. By having a method of just paying an adequate minimal fee for sensitive parts of a service (signing up, requesting password reset, messaging someone) that would be target of bad actors (spammers etc), we could get rid of this ugly artifact and improve the state of the internet. The only ones affected by this barrier are the real end-users that can't decipher the distorted text. In the OP we see a good example of this delegation practice.
FAUCET BOT 1.2 SOFTWARE
Spammers already have sophisticated software for solving captchas (which arguably can be better than the human eye), or often using a captcha solving service that uses a hybrid between optical character recognition and paying minimal salaries to people in third world countries for solving the captchas for their bots. Not necessarily related to OP: We should have a service such as recaptcha offer an alternative to captchas by paying a small amount of money in Bitcoins (1000 satoshi or so) for signing up to websites.
